In-Home Services
Family-focused, customized strategies and support.
I work with children and their families where daily routines are established—in the home—to teach skills and practical strategies that support learning and speech and language development.
Who I Work With
This work is for parents of children and young adults age eighteen and younger who have concerns in these areas or who simply want to nurture their child's learning. Please contact me to discuss how I can support your family.
What We Do Together
In-home services include, but are not limited to:
- Helping you identify your child's strengths and use them to overcome her/his challenges
- Creating a toolkit of strategies unique to your child and training you to apply them immediately
- Treating a wide range of speech, language, and learning delays or impairments
- Working with you to maximize teaching opportunities in everyday activities so you can maintain progress in between sessions
- Developing early reading-readiness strategies to build self-esteem around learning and help prevent academic delays
- Working with school-aged children, parents, teachers, and schools to create a unified approach to learning
How It Works
This work is most effective when you and your child commit to an early investment in consistent therapy. Once you have developed skills and strategies, along with the confidence to implement them, we can scale back our sessions to give you a chance to work on your own. I will become more involved at any time to offer support or help you with a new goal or challenge.
After an initial 90-minute session to get acquainted and set goals, 50-minute follow-up sessions can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or as needed. I also offer pre-payment options to provide you with cost savings and convenience. Please contact me for details.
